The patrol

Was at the Snow Patrol concert in Botantic Gardens in Belfast on Wednesday with Niall, John, Erin, Drew and Kat [Love that picture- not bad for a camera phone effort] I have grown to love Snow Patrol of recent days and loved the music at the concert but was very disappointed with the crowd it wasn’t very nice being pushed and shoved here there and everywhere, beer spilt over you and being poked with an umbrella! At one point we were being crushed so much I was lifted off the ground! We moved back a bit to an older crowd and it was all good. Just I would rethink going to a festival style concert rather than a normal one band concert.

Took a class of Tai bo last week have heard people rave about it so thought id see for myself I have to say I’m not a fan was like a cross between line dancing and the computer game street fighter think it was my first and last Tai bo effort.

Am now on ER season 12 it surely is good viewing!

I leave on a jet place for Toronto on Thursday afternoon all very exciting! The packing and good byes are well underway.

Update

Feel that I need to update but also feel there is not much to update on so let’s see what happens…

July was a very slow month and August seems to be flying by at lightening speed I have the Snow Patrol concert in 12 days and go to Canada in 20 days. My work permit for Canada finally came I’m now just waiting on my contract.
I’m still cycling and have started running again along with spin classes and cross trainer. I had to give back the very nice Audi Avant I had for 6 weeks now back to the Polo and like Charlie I fear for the life span of my car. Still watching ER boxsets now on season 10- Slightly addicted.

Oh Canada!!

Well hello… the future has been decided and confirmed for the next 4 months at least! I have just booked my flights to Toronto to work for Muskoka Woods Sports Resort. Leaving on the 31st August. Ill be working as a host instructor until the end of November then I’m staying on a few weeks to travel and then home for Christmas- am so very excited!
Life recently has included house sitting for the browns, a wee canoe trip on spa lake in Charlie’s canoe with good old Nevin, Getting myself tickets to Snow Patrol in Botantic gardens [there are tickets still available so come join us!], lots of cycling, E.R watching, Ukraine feedback service, 2 trips to the north coast, lots of Freak out rides, trips to the beach and lots of random fellowship.

As requested from Sunday nights Ukraine feedback service:
"Id like to thank the team for all the effort they put in for all the smiles, sweat (and there was a lot!!) for all the high fives, all the wheel barrows full of soil, you were all a pleasure to watch a pleasure to serve, to serve with and to lead. And when you talk of Ukraine don’t always talk about the laughter and the funny stories but remember and talk about the hard times, about the time when you first felt part of the team, when you arrived at camp and wouldn’t settle until you saw a certain kid was there, talk about the people that gave up their homes so we could stay, about the time you shed your first tear or when you wished you could of cried, remember the cooks that got up at 5am to start work for the day, talk about when the kids could sing along with our English songs for the first time, remember the first person to greet you when you went to church, team time when you learnt something new about a team mate, the time you realised what it was really all about, when someone went the extra mile for you, when you stood digging the ground along side a Ukrainian friend, remember the smile on a kids face when you asked them for a high five, talk about when you watched the kids walk home, remember when you included a kid that seemed lost, when a Ukrainian understood your first attempt at their language, remember when it first hit you that it was nearly over, remember when your realised how blessed you were, when you stood back and knew the job was complete and many more… all these things count more that we will ever know or imagine the impact these 2 weeks have made on Ukraine and on us. Remember and talk about the detail and please put what you learnt into practice"
